Cherry Grove

Cherry Grove Beach is the northernmost spot on North Myrtle Beach. This quaint, picturesque beach offers two distinct views with plenty of public beach access areas. One notable perk of Cherry Grove is that it’s an inlet complete with boat launch access to the Atlantic Ocean and a mile of marsh used by fishers and bird enthusiasts. Visitors also enjoy spending time on Cherry Grove Fishing Pier because of its restaurant, endless fishing opportunities, and scenic gazebo at the end. Wanna know a secret? Cherry Grove Pier offers paid parking which includes a free pier pass.

North Myrtle Beach

Midway between Cherry Grove Beach and downtown North Myrtle Beach is Main Street’s public beach access point. North Myrtle Beach is surrounded by ample parking, an oceanfront bar, grocery stores, pizza parlors, and ice-cream shops. Families looking for a fun-filled day will love this exciting location. North Myrtle Beach is best known for the giant inflatable water-slide. If you’re hitting the beach without kids, Main Street offers tons of bars within walking distance from the beach.

Crescent Beach

Before you reach Atlantic Beach, you’ll come across Crescent Beach. This beach is known to be much quieter than North Myrtle Beach. This is because there are hardly any restaurants or shops in this part of Ocean Drive. Molly Darcy’s Irish Pub is the only exception. Luckily, Molly Darcy’s shares a parking lot with the public beach area, so you don’t have to worry about getting your car towed on vacation.

Windy Hill

Windy Hill is the southernmost area on North Myrtle Beach and located close to Barefoot Landing and other shopping malls. There are very few bars and restaurants near Windy Hill, so it tends to be a quiet beach in comparison to other South Carolina Beaches. Visitors enjoy coming to Windy Hill for a peaceful day at the beach. Fun fact, there’s a children’s park inland from the beach.
