So, what can you do at Barefoot Landing? First, you can get in touch with nature at the Alligator Adventure. In this attraction, you’ll come face to face with incredible alligators and can learn all about these stunning creatures. In fact, Alligator Adventure is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the entire world, so it’s definitely worth the visit if only for the novelty. Not only can you come here to see alligators up close, but you can also talk to the friendly staff to learn more about the animals and their natural habitats.

What kid doesn’t love taking a fun ride on the carousel? Barefoot Landing has a massive carousel that your entire family is sure to love! Here, the carousel is an authentic representation of a Barnum & Bailey carousel, truly offering a blast from the past. Kids and adults alike will appreciate the colorful animals that have been cast from original molds, providing a unique centerpiece for Barefoot Landing. No matter how old you or your children might be, there’s something about taking a ride on a carousel that transports you back to what it means to be a kid.

If you want to add some adrenaline to your vacation, consider taking a turn on the Mountain of Youth Ropes Course. This ropes course is nearly 50 feet tall and gives you an incredible view of Barefoot Landing and the next-door LuLu’s Beach Arcade. As you make your way through the ropes course, you’ll come into contact with more than two dozen obstacles that you have to contend with. Do you think you have what it takes to make it through the entire course unscathed? Come find out for yourself! The ropes course is open every day from 1 to 9 p.m.

These activities aren’t all you can experience when you come to Barefoot Landing. You can head into the Alabama Theater to listen to some incredible live music and enjoy a one-of-a-kind performance, see how some of the best local beer is produced on a Crooked Hammock Brewery Tour, or see incredible tigers and cubs playing at the T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station. If you have smaller kids, consider bringing them to Barefoot Amusements, where there are tons of kiddie rides and family-friendly activities to enjoy.
